Frequently asked questions

How do I install Tracepad?

Tracepad is available on Google Play. Open its page on your Android phone or tablet and follow the purchase and install steps. It is a paid app with a single one-time price, with no subscription and no in-app purchases. When the app starts, it asks Google Play to confirm that your copy was bought there.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases and refunds are handled by Google Play, not by the app. Open Order history in the Play Store, select Tracepad and use the refund options Google offers. Google decides refund eligibility under its own rules.

Where are my sketches stored?

On your device only, in Tracepad's private storage. Other apps cannot read them and they are never uploaded; there is no cloud copy. Uninstalling Tracepad deletes them, so export or back up anything you want to keep before you uninstall or change phones. Files you have already exported to Pictures or Download are your own copies and stay where they are.

How do I export or back up my work?

In the editor, open the export sheet and choose a format: PNG, SVG, PDF or Layers (a layered ZIP you can keep working on elsewhere). Then save the file to your device or share it with another app. Tracepad can also back up your sketches locally and restore them later. Backups stay on your device, so copy them somewhere safe if you want protection against losing the phone.

Which styluses does it support?

Tracepad is built for the S Pen on Galaxy phones and tablets and works with any active stylus. You can also draw with a finger. Pens respond to pressure when your stylus reports it.

Does Tracepad collect my data?

No. There are no accounts, analytics or ads, and nothing is sent to the developer. See the privacy policy for details.
