Tracepad Privacy Policy

Effective date: 9 October 2026

Tracepad ("the app", package com.nrknithin.tracepad) is a tracing and sketching app for Android, published by Nithin (nrknithin@gmail.com).

Summary

Everything you make in Tracepad stays on your device. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers of its own. We do not collect, receive or share your personal information.

What stays on your device

  • Your sketches, strokes, layers and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your device. Other apps cannot read them.
  • Photos you trace over are chosen through the Android photo picker. The app receives only the photos you pick, and they are never uploaded anywhere.
  • Local backups you create are written to your device and restored from your device.

Exports

When you ask the app to export a sketch (PNG, SVG, PDF or layered ZIP), the file is written to your device's Pictures or Download folder, or handed to the app you choose in the Android share sheet. The app never writes to these folders unless you request an export. Exported files are separate copies that you control.

Accounts, analytics and advertising

Tracepad has no accounts or sign-in. It contains no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no advertising. It uses no third-party SDKs and no developer server.

Purchase and licence check

Tracepad is a paid app that you buy once on Google Play. Google handles your payment details and purchase records under Google's privacy policy. Tracepad does not see or store your payment card or account details. When the app starts, it asks the Google Play Store app on your device to confirm that your copy was bought from Google Play. That check is performed by Google Play, using your Google account on the device. Tracepad has no server and sends nothing to the developer; it keeps only the result of the check (licensed or not, when it was checked, and Google Play's signed confirmation, which identifies your account only by an anonymous code) on your device, scrambled so other apps cannot reuse it. There is no personal data collected, no analytics and no ads.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling Tracepad deletes all sketches and app data stored in its private storage. You can also delete individual sketches inside the app at any time. Files you exported to Pictures or Download are your own copies and are not removed by an uninstall; delete them with your file manager or gallery app. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on a server. Purchases and refunds are handled by Google Play (Order history in the Play Store).

Children

Tracepad is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
